Excellent tissue tolerance. Handles like silk. Braided for secure knotting. Wax impregnated for smooth passage through tissue. Uses-procedures where non-absorbable,braided suture are indicated, eg:skin, G.I anastomosis. Sterilised by gamma irradiation.
